Genesis 29:20

So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed only a few days to him because of the love he had for her. (Genesis 29:20 NKJV)

When you are focused and truly believe at what you are going to get is worth the work you are putting in, the work is easy. It's when we are feeling short changed when the work becomes a chore. So, when you work, work for The Lord, whom you love, and the long arduous tasks will breeze on by. 

Genesis 29:10

And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother’s brother, that Jacob went near and rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother’s brother. (Genesis 29:10 NKJV)

This is the first instance in the Bible where a man and woman fall in love. If we were to search the Bible for examples of pre-marital relationships, this would be a good place to start. Jacob instantly fell for Rachel here at the well. Being a man of the tents, he quickly shows off by watering the sheep and moving the rock that stopped up the well. They dated for 7 years before he married her and time flew by. However, their "dating" happened in her faher's house and only lasted as long as it took for him to pay the dowry for her. Dating leads to marriage. Otherwise, it's just practicing get divorced. 

Genesis 28:12

Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. (Genesis 28:12 NKJV)

God sometimes speaks or reveals His truth through dreams. That does not mean that every dream is from God or has a special meaning. That also doesn't mean that dreams are the only way God talks. My favorite part of this dream is the angels moving between heaven and earth. That means that the servants of God are not just watching from heaven, but active here on earth as they are in heaven. God is interested in this world and what goes on here. Are you?
