Genesis 4:7

If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” (Genesis 4:7 NKJV)

God is talking to Cain at this point, but His point stretches to us through time. We have the choice. We can do well, or to not do well. If we do well, we are accepted. If not, we are one step away from being ruled over. Are you doing well? Does anything rule over you? When did it start? What was the decision you made that gave yourself over to sin? Do you know that Jesus can save you from your sin?
